Ferrocerium Rod Holder for Leatherman Arc and Free P4/P2

from $6.00

Leatherman Free Series Ferro Rod Holder

Please note: only 1 under-scissor tool can be installed at a time (i.e. - scribe, pen, or ferro rod).

This part is designed to magnetically adhere to the frame underneath the scissors on the Leatherman Arc and Free P4/P2

The plastic holder has two small neodymium magnets installed in it which stick to the frame under the scissors. The shape of the holder lock it into the contours of the frame for a very secure attachment. To remove it, simply push the part visible from the outside towards the hammering surface which will rotate the part and lift the opposite end enough so that the rod can easily be grabbed and the assembly removed. To install, just drop it in, slide it towards the hammer end, and close the scissors.

The ferro rod is coated with a black paint to prevent corrosion. You will need to scrape through the paint layer before it will spark. It is recommended to use the spine of the saw to scrape the ferro rod

The holder is the same for the Pen, the Scribe, and the Ferro rod and the different tools can easily be removed and swapped or replaced. It is made with a durable, slightly flexible material so that it can accommodate the slight difference in diameter.

These pieces are designed and 3D printed by myself.
